As one of the few Mezcals that are available at the LCBO in Canada, I’m going to be reviewing this from the perspective of Canadian availability. The agaves are cooked in an underground oven using ocote, holm oak, and peppertree which give the mezcal a smokiness desirable for cocktails. preserving our culture and industry with integrity is our priority – we invest 10% of our net profits into ecological and social sustainability programmes.

Seems to have quite a bit of heads in the cut which lends a dirty salt and pepper profile with decent sweetness and cocktail-friendly levels of smoke.The Amores Philosophy stems from caring consciously for the earth, for the environment and for the people who make each drop of mezcal possible. Loved the oaky smokey flavour and made some fantastic smokey palomas with this for friends who were all very impressed 🙌.
